First we lost 6-1
Then my dad tore his achilles tendon celebrating the 6th goal
Then hopping around on his good foot he went over on his ankle with a suspected broken ankle.
He's meant to fly out to meet his latest grandkid on Wednesday, and bring me my Vimto stocks!

While I'm sorry for your father's pain, Oi, I can't help but think that with the run he's got going, maybe it's best that he not be around a helpless infant right about now. Or on a plane, either.
Seriously, though, hope he heals up quickly. _________________ You can't spell manslaughter without 'laughter'. |

Okay call me crazy but I THINK I'm 'bullied' by my manager.
She's only a few years older than me but I've recently been changed to the department she works in. Even though I've worked with her a year, I've never had a problem with her anyone else working there but she just seems to have taken a real disliking to me for no apparent reason.
She keeps making snide sort of jokes and remarks at my expense which get shared with other members of staff. At first I didn't notice so much, but I've started to catch on to the fact that they're laughing at me and taking the piss out of whatever I say. Apparently they've coined a little catchphrase and everything.
Originally I just took it on the chin as bit of a joke but now it's starting to get to the point where it's happening a bit too often and gets a little mean.
I had a very bad experience at my last work place where I was harassed by members of staff at work and their friends outside of work over the phone so I'm not really sure if I'm just taking things a bit personally due to my past encounters. I just feel like a total whiny loser complaining about it but it sucks

Hm, yea, document EVERYTHING. Bring a tape recorder if you need to. Get at least two other people who aren't jackasses/participants but are witnesses who can back you up.
THEN go to H.R. with it.
That's incredibly petty & unprofessional anyway. |

Nah, all the managers at all the nearby stores are very friendly so I think in reporting her I'd only be making the situation worse for myself.

Someone drove into my car in a supermarket car park causing some damage and then drove off without leaving their details. Fortunately a witness got their number so they'll get their comeuppance. |

Yea, I hate hate when that happens. It's something about parking lots though, it's like they turn otherwise normal, nice human beings into raging assholes.
Good luck getting your car fixed! |

I've found out that the perpetrator is someone I know quite well - actually on my Christmas card list Supposedly a churchgoing pillar of the community - I'm absolutely gobsmacked. |

My knee hurts like a bitch. I've lived with this motherfucking injury for 10 fucking years and STILL it manages to have me in tears and on the verge of throwing up on the bus home because it hurts so damn much.
My body has failed me. Fuck you, body. |

| It was awkward at first - lots of apologies and excuses - but we were laughing by the end. It turned out that it was the 18 year old daughter of the family, who is learning to drive, who crashed into my car. Her father was with her at the time. They didn't say anything to the mother/wife, who I know quite well, so she didn't know anything about it until a letter arrived yesterday from the insurance company, a week afterwards. Obviously she's absolutely furious with them, so I think they were more frightened of her than of me. |

An update on the car story - apparently the daughter (the driver) had already had one crash before mine and has been quoted an insurance premium of £8,000 if she ever passes her test, no wonder they were so keen not to stop and give their details.
Also I made sure that I didn't tell any of our mutual acquaintances about it to spare their blushes, only to find that they have been telling people themselves. There's nowt so queer as folk. |

| I'm back, with a broken radius and looking like my arm in a cast for awhile . *sigh* Feel free to point and laugh because, let's face it, I actively participated in this injury. The old lady equivalent of "Here, hold my beer and watch this" |

Laura,
Do you have medical insurance? You might need to get your knee replaced
if it gets that bad It will screw up your other knee and back as well. I would
see a doctor if I was you. Your health is nothing to screw around with. |
